Company Background

Intermine Engineering was founded in the year 1966. Initially, it concentrated on the Mining Industry in South Africa. It holds different agencies with suppliers and assists the mines with the correct application of pumps, valves, etc. This grew into a solution-based business whereby the client was given solutions to problems encountered in the mines. It later developed into civil pumping solutions. With this in mind, JT Electronics was founded in 1983. The Company aimed to assist in solutions for electrical components, develop safety equipment, and export it to Canada, Australia, Zambia etc. Intermine Engineering and JT Electronics grew to have branches in Welkom, Klerksdorp, Fochville, Rustenburg, Steelpoort, and Johannesburg with the head office in Welkom. The group also consists of Amanzi Supplies, which are involved in construction and various building supplies, housing, and project management.

Intermine Engineering’sinvolvement in the South African Water Boards is long-standing. With the old Goldfields Water Board, we supplied maintained, and oversaw the KSB FBL pumps to this day with the backing of KSB Pumps. We have supplied numerous other pumps over the years and can assist the contractor with specialized information. We have a long-standing relationship with KSB and various other manufacturers. In 2010 Esorfranki used our company to supply them with KSB pumps for a water project they undertook that was delivered on time and in specs.

The business is diversified into different but interrelated operations consisting of the following business units:

• Supply of pumps, valves, Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, and all types of mining supplies
• Supply and assist the mine/contractor with specialized information regarding the products.
• Deliver products on time
• Repair of pumps in our workshop based in Steepoort.

The business currently operates in all the Provinces of South Africa
